WHAT IS BIOROLL+ FOR?
BioRoll+ is a natural repellent roll-on specifically designed to protect the horse's muzzle and ears from pesky insects: flies, mosquitoes, horseflies, and sandflies. It works precisely in the most sensitive areas where sprays and gels cannot reach.
HOW TO APPLY?
Roll the applicator 2-3 times under the nostrils, along the edges of the ears, and around the eye contour, avoiding mucous membranes. Do not apply directly into the eyes or nostrils. For continuous protection, reapply every 2-3 hours or as needed.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BIOROLL+, BIOSHIELD+, AND BIOGEL+?
They are three complementary products from the same Bio line: BioShield+ (spray) protects the horse's entire body. BioGel+ (gel) protects large and sensitive areas for up to 12 hours. BioRoll+ (roll-on) precisely protects the muzzle and ears, the most delicate areas where insects strike most. Used together, they offer complete 360° protection.
IS IT SAFE FOR MY HORSE?
Yes. The formula is 100% natural, based on essential oils of citronella, bourbon geranium, lavender, and neem in sweet almond oil. No synthetic ingredients, no chemical preservatives. It is cruelty-free and Made in Italy. Do not use on broken or irritated skin, on pregnant mares or foals without veterinary advice.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROTECTION LAST?
Protection lasts 2-3 hours per application. The oily formula based on sweet almond adheres to the fur and skin longer than water-based products, gradually releasing the repellent essential oils. Reapply after 2-3 hours or when you notice insects approaching again.
CAN I USE IT WITH BIOSHIELD+ OR BIOGEL+?
Absolutely, it's even recommended. First, apply BioShield+ spray all over the body, then use BioRoll+ for precise protection on the muzzle and ears. Alternatively, combine BioGel+ on large sensitive areas with BioRoll+ for the muzzle and ears. The Bio line products are formulated to work in synergy.
IS IT SUITABLE FOR HORSES WITH SENSITIVE SKIN?
Yes. Sweet almond oil (94% of the formula) is one of the mildest and best-tolerated oils. It is emollient and soothing, so while it protects, it also nourishes the skin. However, avoid applying it to already irritated skin or open wounds.
